The Brittany Spaniel’s Temperament

The Brittany Spaniel is an intelligent dog, very close to people and deeply attached to its family.
It naturally seeks contact and adapts easily to family life, including with children.

It is an active, curious, and willing dog.
Its hunting instinct is strong, making it an excellent companion for outdoor activities, but it also requires structure and consistency.

When properly stimulated, both physically and mentally, it is balanced, attentive, and pleasant to live with.
Without enough activity or guidance, it can become overly excited or difficult to manage.

It is also a sensitive dog that responds very well to gentle and consistent training.
It needs clear guidance, regularity, and real presence to thrive.

👉 In summary, the Brittany Spaniel is an affectionate, intelligent, and active dog, best suited for present families with a dynamic lifestyle.

The Brittany Spaniel is an active dog that needs daily physical and mental exercise.
Simple walks are not always enough.
They require varied activities such as active outings, play sessions, mental stimulation, or work related to their natural instincts.

Their maintenance is relatively simple but requires consistency.
Weekly brushing helps maintain a clean coat, and special attention should be given to the ears to prevent infections.

At our kennel, we take these needs into account from a very young age.

From the first weeks, puppies are gradually exposed to everyday sounds (voices, traffic, vacuum cleaner, etc.) to help them adapt to their future environment.

They also grow up in contact with other dogs and our children, encouraging natural and balanced socialization.

Before departure, we take time with each family to provide guidance tailored to their lifestyle.

Every dog is different, and part of our role is to help you understand yours.

👉 Our goal: well-balanced dogs… and confident families.

Positive Reinforcement Training

The Brittany Spaniel is an intelligent, willing, and energetic dog.
When properly understood and guided, it becomes an exceptional companion.
On the other hand, a dog that lacks stimulation or guidance can quickly become difficult to manage.

This is why we place great importance on early education.

Our approach is based on gentle, consistent, and positive training, always respecting the sensitive nature of the breed.

We work with the dog, not against it, taking into account its natural instincts and energy level.

This approach leads to lasting results while strengthening the bond between the dog and its family.

The goal is not just obedience,
but a well-balanced and fulfilled dog.
